Overview
RDS 39 #L1000φ 10 wire-wound Applicator rod is a wire-wound Spreader Metering rod produced by RDS in the United States. RDS has more than 80 years of experience in R & D and production of coating rods, and its products are widely used around the world. This model adopts the wire-wound process and has specific wet film thickness and size specifications, which is suitable for Spreader needs in a variety of industries.
Features
1. From the professional coating rod brand RDS with more than 80 years of history.
2. Adopting the classic "Mayer" wire winding rod design, the technology is mature and reliable.
3. Accurate wet film thickness, Spreader uniform.
4. The mandrel is made of stainless steel 303 and has a chrome-plated surface for good durability.
5. Can be customized according to specific needs.
Principle
The wire-wound Applicator rod is a wire-wound Metering rod. Its Working Principle is to create uniform cavities between the wires by tightly wrapping a stainless steel wire of a specific diameter on the mandrel. When the Coating or coating material passes through the rod body, these cavities determine the Coating thickness (wet film thickness) transferred to the substrate. Excess Coating is scraped off, resulting in precise, uniform Spreader.
Applications
Coating, window film, adhesive tape, release paper, photovoltaic film, wall covering material, special paper
Standards
No specific compliance criteria were mentioned in the data.
Steps
1. According to the process requirements of Spreader, choose the appropriate Metering rod model (such as RDS 39 #L1000φ 10).
2. Install the Metering rod correctly on the Spreader device to ensure a stable installation.
3. Adjust the parameters of the Spreader equipment (such as pressure, speed, etc.) to keep the Metering rod in proper contact with the support roller or substrate.
4. Start the Spreader job so that the Coating passes evenly through the Metering rod.
5. After the Spreader is completed, clean and maintain the Metering rod in time.
Notice
• Please confirm that the Metering rod model matches the Spreader process requirements before operation.
• When installing, ensure that both ends of the Metering rod are firmly clamped to avoid loosening and affecting the uniformity of the Spreader.
• Spreader should clean the rod body in time after operation to prevent Coating residue from clogging the wire gap.
• For high viscosity coatings, consider using notched or double-wound rods to reduce the risk of clogging.
• Wire winding rods can be disbonded and rewound to save costs.
• Pay attention to protect the surface of the rod body during use to avoid hard objects scratching the chrome plating layer.
