Principle
The Working Principle of this wide-wound Applicator rod is based on the Mayer rod coating method. Wire is wound around the mandrel at a precise diameter (φ 1.17mm), and the gap between the wires forms a cavity for receiving and measuring coatings. As the rod body rolls or scrapes over the surface of the substrate, excess coatings are scraped off by the wire, and the coatings retained in the cavity are transferred to the substrate, resulting in a wet-film of a specific thickness (116.8μm).
