Overview
RDS 75 #L1000φ 10 wire-wound Applicator rod is a wire-wound Metering rod produced by RDS in the United States. RDS has more than 80 years of experience in R & D and production of Spreader Metering rod. Its products are simple, accurate, uniform and economical, making them one of the most popular film methods. This model is a wire-wound rod, which is suitable for a variety of substrates and can quickly change the coating weight and film thickness.
Features
1. Originating from the American RDS brand, it has more than 80 years of professional production history.
2. Adopt the classic "Mayer" wire winding rod design, which is widely used and popular.
3. Support disbonding and re-winding, which helps to save costs and reduce waste.
4. The mandrel is made of stainless steel 303 with chrome plating for better durability.
5. Can be customized according to specific needs to provide flexible solutions.
Principle
The wire-wound rod forms a cavity between the wires by wrapping a steel wire of a specific diameter on the mandrel. When Spreader, excess Coating is scraped off by the wire, and the amount of Coating retained in the cavity determines the thickness of the wet-film. The wet film thickness is mainly determined by the diameter of the steel wire. The diameter of this type of steel wire is 1.91mm (corresponding to No. 75), which can form a wet film thickness of about 190.5μm.
Applications
Coating, window film, adhesive tape, release paper, photovoltaic film, wall covering material, special paper

Notice
* This product is a wire winding rod, please pay attention to the risk of blockage in the winding gap, and it needs to be cleaned and maintained regularly.
* When using, the appropriate Metering rod type (such as wire winding, molding, notch or double winding) should be selected according to the process conditions such as Coating viscosity.
Customized products need to be submitted through the specified tool and confirmed according to the quotation.
Chrome plating on the surface can extend the life of the rod, but it is still necessary to avoid scratching with hard objects to protect the surface finish.
