Overview
The RDS 32# 3/8" coating rod is a high-precision wire-wound applicator made of stainless steel, offering excellent wear resistance and anti-rust properties. Designed for applications requiring precise control of coating thickness, this coating rod features a coating width of 300mm, a total length of 400mm, and handle sections each measuring 50mm in width.
Features
1. High-precision coating thickness of 73.2 microns, with a scale accuracy of 0.1 microns.
2. Made of stainless steel material, resistant to breakage and rust.
3. Excellent wear resistance, normal service life of over 6 months.
4. Winding wire production process ensures uniform and stable coating.
5. Ergonomic design for comfortable handheld operation and ease of use.
Principle
The RDS wire-wound drawdown bar evenly applies coatings on substrate surfaces through its wire-wound design. Stainless steel wires are precisely wound around the rod with accurate diameters and spacing. As the drawdown bar moves across the substrate surface, the gaps formed by the wires control the coating thickness, enabling precise control over the wet film thickness.
Applications
Paint research and development, ink testing, adhesive coating, laboratory sample preparation, quality control testing
Steps
1. Pour the coating evenly onto one end of the substrate.
2. Hold both ends of the coating rod and place it on the substrate at an appropriate angle.
3. Push the coating rod forward smoothly and at a constant speed.
4. Clean the coating rod promptly after completing the coating process.
5. Store it properly in a dry environment.
Notice
• Clean promptly after use to avoid paint drying and affecting accuracy.
• Avoid severe impacts or drops to prevent wire deformation.
• Store in a dry environment to prevent rust.
• Regularly check the wear of the coating rod and replace it in a timely manner.
• Maintain a steady and uniform speed during operation to ensure coating uniformity.
