Overview
RDS 7 #L2000φ 10 wire-wound Applicator rod is a wire-wound Spreader Metering rod produced by RDS Company in the United States. The product uses stainless steel 303 mandrel, chrome-plated surface, steel wire diameter is φ 0.18mm, total length is 2000mm, effective application width 1900mm, wet film thickness is 17.8 μm. RDS has more than 80 years of experience in R & D and production of coating rods. Its Mayer rod coating method is known for its simplicity, accuracy, uniformity and economy. It is suitable for a variety of substrates and can quickly adjust the coating weight and film thickness.
Features
The brand has a long history: RDS was founded in 1936 and has more than 80 years of experience in the development and production of Spreader Metering rods.
2. Spreader method is superior: the Mayer rod coating method is simple, accurate, uniform and economical, and is one of the popular film methods.
3. Flexible and wide application: can quickly change the coating weight and film thickness, suitable for a wide range of substrates, to meet the needs of a variety of industries.
4. Variety of product specifications: Spreader Metering rods are available in a variety of process specifications, up to 12 feet in length, with 15 different diameters of multi-stage stainless steel rods and more than 70 sizes of stainless steel wire.
5. Support for customization services: It can be customized according to the specific needs of users, with no minimum fees and installation costs.
6. Wire winding rod features: As the original "Mayer" rod, the size guidance is clear (in mils), and it can be disbonded and rewound, which helps to save costs and reduce waste.
Principle
The RDS wire-wound Applicator rod works based on the Mayer rod coating principle. As the coating flows through wires tightly wound on the mandrel, the gaps (cavities) between the wires determine the wet film thickness of the final Spreader on the substrate. Measurement and transfer of coatings can be made precisely by controlling the diameter and winding spacing of the wires, resulting in a uniform, thickness-controlled coating on the substrate.
Applications
Coating, manufacturing window film, adhesive tape, release paper, photovoltaic film, wall covering material, special paper
