Overview
RDS 14 #L2000φ 10 is a wire-wound Applicator rod produced by RDS Company in the United States. RDS has more than 80 years of experience in R & D and production of Spreader Metering rod. Its products are simple, accurate, uniform and economical, and have become one of the popular film methods. The model is Wire-wound metering rods, with a total length of 2000mm and an effective application width of 1900mm. It is suitable for a variety of substrates and can quickly change the coating weight to achieve a wide range of film thickness control.
Features
1. Derived from the American RDS brand with a history of more than 80 years, with reliable quality.
2. Adopt the classic "Mayer" wire winding rod design, which is widely used and popular.
3. Wire winding rods can be disbonded and rewound, helping to save costs and reduce waste.
4. More than 70 wire sizes are available to meet the thickness requirements of different Spreaders.
5. The mandrel is made of stainless steel 303, with chrome plating on the surface, taking into account strength and corrosion resistance.
6. Support customized services and provide solutions based on specific application requirements.
Principle
The Working Principle of the RDS wire-wound Applicator rod tightly wraps the mandrel based on a predetermined wire diameter. When the coating is applied to the substrate and passes through the Metering rod, the groove formed between the wound wire and the mandrel determines the thickness of the wet-film. The excess coating is scraped off by the wire, and the coating left in the groove is transferred to the substrate, resulting in a uniform, thickness-controlled coating.
