Principle
The Working Principle of this wire-wound Applicator rod is based on the Mayer rod coating method. A specific diameter stainless steel wire is tightly wound over a smooth mandrel, forming a series of uniform, precisely sized circular grooves between the wire and the mandrel surface. Measurement is performed by these grooves as the coating flows through the rod body, scraping away excess coating, leaving a uniform thickness wet-film coating on the substrate determined by the wire diameter and winding gap.
