Overview
RDS 22 #L2000φ 10 wire-wound Applicator rod is a wire-wound Spreader Metering rod produced by RDS Company in the United States. RDS company has more than 80 years of experience in R & D and production of coating rods, and its products are widely popular for their simplicity, accuracy, uniformity and economy. This type of bar adopts stainless steel core rod chrome plating process, with a total length of 2000mm and an effective application width of 1900mm, which is suitable for Spreader applications of various substrates.
Features
1. Derived from the American RDS brand with a history of more than 80 years, with reliable quality.
2. Adopt the classic "Mayer" wire winding rod design, which is widely used and popular.
3. The wet film thickness is 55.9μm, which is determined by the diameter of the steel wire of φ 0.56mm.
4. The main rod diameter is φ 10mm, the total length is 2000mm, the effective application width is 1900mm, suitable for wide Spreader.
5. The mandrel is made of stainless steel 303 and has a chrome-plated surface to enhance durability.
6. Wire-wound rod design allows for disbonding and re-winding of steel wire, helping to save costs and reduce waste.
7. No minimum booking fee and installation fee, low cost of use.
Principle
The RDS wire-wound Applicator rod works on the principle of the Mayer rod coating method. As the coating flows through the stainless steel wire tightly wound on the mandrel, the gaps (cavities) between the wires determine the wet film thickness transferred to the substrate. The thickness of the coating can be precisely controlled by controlling the diameter of the wire (such as the φ 0.56mm of this model). During the Spreader process, excess coating is scraped off, leaving a uniform, Basis Weight coating.
