Overview
The RDS 37 #L2000φ 10 is a wire-wound Applicator rod produced by RDS, an American company with a history of more than 80 years. It uses the classic "Mayer" wirewound rod design and is a simple, accurate, uniform and economical film tool that can quickly change coating weight, provides a wide range of film thickness options, and is suitable for a wide range of substrates.
Features
1. Originating from the American RDS brand, it has more than 80 years of professional production history and reliable quality.
2. Using the classic Mayer rod design, the Spreader method is simple, accurate, uniform and economical.
3. Spreader flexibility, can quickly change the coating weight, suitable for a wide range of substrates.
4. Wire winding rods can be disbonded and rewound, helping to save costs and reduce waste.
5. Provide customized services and can be produced according to specific needs.
Principle
The Working Principle of this wire-wound Applicator rod is based on the Mayer rod coating method. As the coating flows through the precision wire wound on the mandrel, the gaps (cavities) between the wires determine the wet film thickness of the final coating. By scraping, the excess coating is scraped away, leaving a uniform, thickness-controlled coating.
Applications
Coating, window film, adhesive tape, release paper, photovoltaic film, wall covering material, special paper
Steps
1. Select the appropriate coating rod model (such as 37 #) according to the required wet film thickness (such as 94.0 μm).
2. Install the coating rod correctly on the Spreader device or handheld fixture.
3. Coating an appropriate amount in front of the substrate or coating rod.
4. Push or pull the coating rod at uniform speed and pressure to spread the coating flat on the surface of the substrate.
5. Clean the coating rod in time after use.
Notice
* Please confirm that the coating rod model (e.g. 37 #) matches the required wet film thickness (94.0 μm) before use.
* Maintain uniform traverse speed and pressure during operation to ensure coating uniformity.
* After use, it should be thoroughly cleaned immediately to prevent the coating from curing and clogging in the steel wire gap, which will affect the effect and accuracy of the next use.
* When cleaning, use a suitable solvent and soft cloth to avoid scratching with hard objects, so as not to damage the steel wire or chrome surface.
* When storing, the coating rod should be placed flat or suspended in a drying and clean environment to avoid deformation caused by heavy pressure or collision.
* Wire winding rod can be disbonded and rewound, but it needs to be operated by professionals to maintain its Measurement accuracy.
