Overview
CM8820 Coating thickness gauge adopts magnetic Induction Measuring method. Measurement range is 0~ 2000μm (0~ 5mm is customized for large scale). The instrument uses magnetic Sensor to measure non-ferrous magnetic coatings and platings on ferromagnetic metal substrates such as steel and iron, such as paint, powder, plastic, rubber, synthetic materials, phosphating layer, chromium, zinc, lead, aluminum, tin, cadmium, porcelain, enamel, oxidation layer, etc.
Features
1. Using magnetic Induction Measurement principle, high accuracy
2. Measurement range, support 0~ 2000μm, and can be customized 2mm-6mm large range
3. Resolution up to 0.1μm | 1μm, error range +/- 5%
4. Equipped with LCD screen, supports Chinese system
5. With low voltage prompt function
6.Light weight, only 210g (without battery), good portability
7. Operating temperature range: 0~ 40 ℃, Humidity range 10~ 90% RH
Principle
CM8820 Coating thickness gauge adopts magnetic Induction Measuring method to measure the thickness of non-ferromagnetic coatings and platings on ferromagnetic metal substrates such as steel and iron by magnetic Sensor.
Applications
Measurement of non-ferromagnetic coatings and platings on ferromagnetic metal substrates such as steel and iron, such as paint, powder, plastic, rubber, synthetic materials, phosphating layer, chromium, zinc, lead, aluminum, tin, cadmium, porcelain, enamel, oxidation layer, etc
Steps
1. Install 4 * AA batteries
2. Turn on and select Measurement unit (μm/mils)
3. Align the Probe with the measurement surface (minimum measurement surface φ 6mm)
4. Ensure that the thickness of the substrate is not less than 0.3mm.
5. Perform measurements within the allowable radius of curvature (convex 1.5mm; concave 25mm)
6. Read the measurement results on the display
Notice
• Make sure the substrate is ferromagnetic metal (steel, iron, etc.) before measurement
• Coatings must be non-ferromagnetic materials
• The minimum substrate thickness is 0.3mm.
• The diameter of the measurement surface is not less than φ 6mm
• Operating temperature range: 0~ 40 ℃
• relative humidity should be in the range of 10~ 90% RH
• Pay attention to the battery level and replace the low-voltage battery in time
• The measurement needs to be operated within the allowable radius of curvature
