Overview
PN-PT6A paper and Cardboard thickness tester is a mechanical thickness testing instrument designed and developed by PNSHAR according to the national standard GB/T451.3. The instrument is mainly suitable for thickness measurement of various single-layer or multi-layer paper and Cardboard, not Corrugated Board. It is a commonly used measurement tool in Cardboard, carton production, scientific research and commodity inspection enterprises and departments.
Features
1. Designed and developed according to the national standard GB/T451.3.
2. Mechanical measurement, stable and reliable structure.
3. Suitable for single or multi-layer paper and Cardboard.
4. Contact pressure and contact area meet the standard requirements to ensure measurement accuracy.
5. The measurement plane parallelism is high to ensure the conformity of the measurement results.
Principle
The instrument smoothly presses the measurement head on the paper or Cardboard sample through the contact area (200 +/- 5 mm ²) and contact pressure (100 +/- 10 kPa) specified in the standard. The rod of the measurement head (such as the pointer dial) moves with the thickness of the sample, so that the thickness value of the sample is read directly on the dial.
Applications
Cardboard production, carton production, R & D institutions, commodity inspection departments
Standards
GB/T 451.3、QB/T 1055、ISO 534
Steps
1. Place the instrument on a stable bench.
2. Check and confirm that the measurement head (pointer dial) is zero.
3. Place the paper or Cardboard sample to be tested flat on the measurement surface below the measurement table.
4. Operate the instrument smoothly so that the measurement head is pressed against the sample at a standard pressure (100 +/- 10 kPa).
5. After the hands are stable, read the thickness value from the dial.
6. Lift the measurement head, take out the sample, and complete a measurement.
Notice
This instrument is not suitable for thickness measurement of Corrugated Board.
• Make sure the instrument is placed on a stable surface before use.
• Before measurement, check whether the measurement head is accurately zeroed.
When placing samples, ensure that they are flat and free from wrinkles or warping.
• Smooth pressure should be applied during operation to avoid Impact.
• Regular maintenance and calibrating to ensure Measurement accuracy.
• Do not use beyond the range (0-4mm).
