Overview
PN-PT6B paper and Cardboard thickness tester is a mechanical thickness testing instrument designed and developed by PNSHAR according to the national standard GB/T451.3. The instrument is mainly suitable for various single-layer or multi-layer paper and Cardboard (not suitable for Corrugated Board), and is a commonly used measurement tool in Cardboard, carton production, scientific research and commodity inspection enterprises and departments.
Features
1. Designed and developed according to the national standard GB/T451.3.
2. Adopt mechanical Measurement principle.
3. Equipped with a digital dial meter, the reading is intuitive.
4. High parallelism of measurement plane to ensure measurement accuracy.
5. The instrument is compact, moderate weight, easy to operate and place.
Principle
The instrument comes into contact with the paper or Cardboard sample to be tested by applying a standard contact pressure (100 +/- 10 kPa) to a measurement head (200 +/- 5 mm ²) of the specified area. The digital dial below the measurement head accurately shows the height of the measurement head lift, which is the thickness of the sample.
Applications
Cardboard production, carton production, scientific research and testing, commodity inspection department
Standards
GB/T 451.3、QB/T 1055、ISO 534
Steps
1. Place the instrument on a stable bench.
2. Turn on the power supply and check whether the digital display dial meter returns to zero.
3. Lift the measurement head and place the paper or Cardboard sample to be tested flat on the measurement surface below the measurement table.
4. Slowly and smoothly lower the measurement head so that it is in full contact with the sample.
5. After the digital percent representation is stable, read and record the thickness value.
6. Lift the measurement head, remove the sample, and proceed to the next measurement or end the operation.
Notice
• This instrument is not suitable for measurement Corrugated Board.
• Make sure the instrument is placed on a stable table before measurement.
When placing the sample, ensure that the sample is flat and free of wrinkles.
• Put down the measurement head slowly and smoothly to avoid Impact.
• Regularly clean the measurement head and measurement surface to keep them clean.
• Please turn off the power after use.
• Do not use over range (Measurement range 0-4mm).
