Overview
PN-BSM160 paper Burst resistance tester is a Mullen instrument under the PNSHAR brand. It is designed and developed according to the national standard GB/T 454 and ISO2758. The instrument is suitable for measuring the Burst Strength of various Cardboard and single-layer and multi-layer papers. It is an important testing equipment to measure the strength of cartons during circulation, such as handling, loading and unloading, and impact. It is not suitable for composite. The instrument integrates parameter testing, conversion, display, memory, printing and data processing functions. It can automatically obtain statistical results and reset, easy to operate and stable performance.

Principle
The instrument applies constant pressure to the film under the sample through the hydraulic system (oil feeding speed 95 +/- 5mL/min), and the film bulges and bursts the sample. The instrument monitors and records the maximum pressure that the sample can withstand at the moment of rupture in real time, that is, Burst Strength, to evaluate the burst resistance of the material.

Steps
Connect the power supply (AC 220V +/- 10% 50Hz) and the gas source (if equipped, the pressure is 0.6~ 0.7MPa).
2. Turn it on and warm up, and set the test parameters (such as unit, sample information, etc.) on the Touchscreen.
3. Place the sample evenly between the upper and lower pressure rings, and the instrument has the function of not setting out the sample.
4. Adjust the sample holding force, activate the test button, and automatically pressurize the instrument until the sample breaks.
5. After the test is completed, the pressure plate returns at high speed, and the instrument automatically records and displays the test results.
6. You can print single or statistical results through a thermal printer, or connect to a computer through an RS232/USB interface for data management.
Notice
* This instrument is not suitable for composite Burst Strength testing.
* Please ensure that the working environment meets the requirements before use: indoor temperature (20 +/- 10) ℃, relative humidity < 85%.
* The air source is non-standard. If you need to use it, please ensure that the pressure and exhaust meet the specifications (pressure 0.6~ 0.7MPa, exhaust 0.02~ 0.3 m ³/min).
* Check the system sealing before the test to ensure that the pressure drop is less than 10% FS within 1 minute.
Periodically check and confirm that the film resistance meets the standard (when the bulge is 9mm, the resistance is 30 +/- 5kPa).
Pay attention to safety when operating, and use the emergency stop button to respond to emergencies.
* When moving or installing the instrument, please pay attention to its weight (about 68Kg) and size (535 * 365 * 585mm).
