The LANDTEK GM-6 glossmeter is an integrated gloss measurement instrument that provides 20/60 degree Measurement Angles, Measurement range 0.1-200 GU, Repeatability of +/- 0.5 GU. The instrument is widely used for gloss measurement on a variety of surfaces such as floors, plastics, automotive coatings, etc.

Principle
The glossmeter emits a beam of light at a specific angle to the surface to be measured and receives its reflected light. The photoelectric Sensor inside the instrument converts the reflected light intensity into an electrical signal, which is processed and displayed in Glossiness Units (GU) on the display screen to realize the quantitative measurement of surface Glossiness.

Steps
1. Boot preparation: Ensure that the instrument has sufficient power and is turned on in a suitable environment (Operating temperature 0~ 40 ° C, relative humidity < 85% RH).
2. calibrate: calibrate according to the instructions.
3. Select mode: Select single measurement or continuous Measurement mode.
4. Placement measurement: The measurement port of the instrument (oval, light spot 7 * 14mm) is smoothly fitted to the surface to be tested.
5. Read data: Trigger measurement to read Glossiness value on backlit display.
6. Data management: measurement data can be automatically stored (up to 254 sets), or exported to the computer via USB, RS-232 interface or Bluetooth connection.
Notice
* Do not use in an environment exceeding the specified Operating temperature (0~ 40 ° C) or Humidity (< 85% RH), so as not to affect the Measurement accuracy or damage the instrument.
* When measuring, it is necessary to ensure that the measurement port and the measured surface are closely and smoothly fitted to avoid light leakage affecting the results.
Periodically calibrate the instrument to ensure the accuracy of measurement data.
* The instrument has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery, please follow the instructions to charge to avoid excessive discharge.
Avoid severe impact or drop of the instrument to prevent damage to the internal precision structure.
* When cleaning the instrument, please use a soft dry cloth to wipe and avoid the use of corrosion cleaners.
* When not in use for a long time, it is recommended to store the instrument in a drying, cool place and charge the battery regularly.
