Overview
RDS double wire-wound Applicator rod (model: 6 #3/8 ") is a precision Spreader tool produced by RDS Corporation in the United States. RDS has more than 80 years of technical experience, and its products are renowned in the industry for good materials and film accuracy up to 0.1 micron. Designed to handle higher viscosity coatings, this model provides better Spreader results by reducing blockages and stitches with a unique double wire-wound structure.
Features
1. Adopt double wire-wound production process, suitable for high viscosity Coating, can effectively reduce clogging and eliminate stitches.
2. Wide and shallow groove design is conducive to the flow and penetration of heavy coatings.
3. The material is stainless steel, which is sturdy and durable.
4. High film accuracy.
5. Provide a variety of specifications to choose from, and can accept customization.
Principle
The Applicator rod features a double wire-wound construction, in which a thinner wire is wound around a thicker main wire to create a wide and shallow groove. This design allows high-viscosity or heavy coatings to flow better in the groove, while the smaller discontinuities created by the thin wire help the coatings to soak and spread more completely, resulting in a uniform, precise wet-film on the substrate.
