MC-2000D Coating (plating) thickness gauge uses electromagnetic induction method to measure the thickness of coating (plating) layer. The Probe located on the surface of the part produces a closed magnetic circuit. With the change of the distance between the Probe and the ferromagnetic material, the magnetic circuit will change to varying degrees, causing the change of magnetoresistance and Probe coil Inductance. Using this principle, the distance between the Probe and the ferromagnetic material can be accurately measured, that is, the thickness of the coating (plating) layer.
