Overview
The Dutch TQC DC9000 hull surface Roughometer is a compact system for the measurement of the average asperity value of a hull for sea voyages. The Sensor has three anti-skid wheels and a carbide stylus that moves horizontally on the hull, 12 test values are collected in each group, and the statistics, time/date and average asperity of each series position are automatically calculated and stored inside the instrument and can be connected to a computer via a USB cable.
Features
1. Compact and portable design, Sensor size 205 × 80 × 40mm, weight 630g
2. Equipped with three non-slip wheels and carbide contact pins to ensure stable measurement
3. Automatically calculate and store statistics, time/date and average asperity data
4. Support USB connection to computer to transfer data
5. Large-capacity storage, capable of continuously recording 4000 values
6. Intuitive menu display, easy to operate with one hand
Principle
When the DC9000 hull surface Roughometer measures the surface roughness of the workpiece, the Sensor is placed on the surface of the workpiece to be measured, and the driving mechanism inside the instrument drives the Sensor to slide along the measured surface at constant speed. The Sensor senses the asperity of the measured surface through the built-in sharp stylus. At this time, the asperity of the measured surface of the workpiece causes the stylus to shift, which changes the Inductance of the Sensor Inductance coil, so that the output of the phase sensitive rectifier generates an analog signal proportional to the measured surface roughness, which is amplified and level converted into the data collection system.
Applications
Ship operating cost control, hull asperity measurement, corrosion monitoring, biological pollution detection, anti-fouling coatings effect evaluation, fuel consumption optimization, carbon dioxide emission reduction
Steps
1. Place the Sensor on the measured surface of the workpiece
2. Tap the dial switch to start the operation
3. Set up and observe through the intuitively lit menu
4. Sensor glides along the measured surface to complete the measurement
5. Data is automatically calculated and stored
6. Use USB to connect to the computer to transfer data when needed
Notice
• Sensor is equipped with LED indicator light, if the control unit cannot be observed during operation, the indicator light can be relied on
Sensors can be quickly attached to the operator via emergency devices
The hand strap can be used when the user needs it
Make sure the Sensor moves horizontally across the hull surface for accurate data
