Overview
The TQC SP1100 Destructiveness Thickness Gauge is a precision measuring instrument made of titanium and aluminum, suitable for Coating thickness measurement on almost all substrates. The instrument can stably measure the Coating thickness of single or multiple substrates (including wood, plastic, metal, etc.) and evaluate the defects of substrates and coatings through simple incision operation and observation grid data using the built-in LED lighting Microscope.
Features
1. Made of titanium and aluminum, it is lightweight and durable
2. Equipped with dual-scale (mm, inch) Microscope, can calculate to micron and millimeter
3. The unique swirl/spin system includes three stainless steel cutters and one cross cutter
4. Better observation in a weaker natural light environment
5. weight only 60g, diameter 48mm, height 14mm, portable design
6. Microscope with good focusing effect, LED lighting assisted observation
Principle
The thickness gauge uses the Destructive Measurement principle to measure Coating thickness by making a small cut in the coating and using the built-in 50x scale Microscope observation mesh data. The unique swirl/spin system includes multiple stainless steel cutters to adapt to different measurement needs.
Applications
Coating thickness measurement of wood, plastic, metal and other substrates
Standards
ISO 2808、ASTM D4138-0
Steps
Step 1 Make a small incision in the coating
2. Use the built-in Microscope to observe the grid data
3. Read and calculate the thickness value
Notice
It is recommended to observe in a weaker natural light environment for better focusing effect
• Measurement range selection of the appropriate blade accessories
• Make sure the battery is fully charged (use 4 * AA 1.5V batteries)
• Pay attention to safety during operation to avoid knife injuries
