Overview
The TQC high voltage pinholing Detector or Porosity Tester accurately detects pinholing, defects, inclusions, fine points and bubbles in coatings. This pressure gauge has been specially designed to effectively change the high voltage DC testing of coatings, making it safer, easier and more reliable than before. The high voltage technology can be used to test coatings up to 36mm thick, making it ideal for inspecting paints on pipes, tank bottoms and Miscellaneous protective coatings, as well as for testing coatings on concrete.

Principle
The instrument detects the coating Porosity (pinholing or Hole) of dielectric (insulating type) coatings on conductive substrates, including concrete, by high voltage DC technology. It has a current limiting function to avoid coating damage, and a safety handle without sensitive electronics. Extended ribs on the handle provide an effective barrier between high voltage and the user. Sensitivity adjustment can be used for metallized or slightly wet coatings.
Applications
Porosity of coatings (pinholing or holing) for testing dielectric (insulating) coatings on conductive substrates, including concrete
