Overview
The TQC high voltage pinholing Detector LD8503 is a Porosity tester designed to detect pinholing, defects, inclusions, fine points and bubbles in coatings. The instrument uses high voltage technology to safely and reliably test coatings up to 36mm thick. It is suitable for inspection of protective coatings such as pipes, tank bottoms and concrete coatings. It has unique functions such as current limit protection, safety handle and precise Sensitivity adjustment.
Features
1. Lightweight ABS housing
2. The switch automatically turns off in an instant
3. Digital display of applied voltage and built-in battery status indicator
4. Regulated DC voltage
Voltage range 0-15kV or 0-30kV fully adjustable
6. Clip-on battery pack
7. Constant test current
8. Sensitivity control
9. Overcharge protection
10. Single power supply
11. Noisy environment headphones
12. Handle optional on/off switch
Principle
The instrument detects the dielectric coating Porosity on the conductive substrate by high voltage DC test method, uses regulated DC voltage and constant test current to identify pinholing or Hole defects in the coating, and prompts by sound and light alarm.
Applications
Porosity of coatings (pinholing or holing) for testing dielectric (insulating) coatings on conductive substrates, including concrete
Steps
1. Connect Probe handle and power supply
2. Turn on the instrument switch
3. Set the required voltage through the digital display
4. Probe contact coating surface for testing
5. Observe sound and light alarm indication defects
6. Sensitivity control to adjust detection accuracy
7. Turn off the switch after the detection is completed
Notice
• Make sure the battery is fully charged before use
• Keep the handle safety barrier effective during operation
Avoid use in extremely humid environments
Regularly check the integrity of high voltage leads
• Keep the instrument dry and clean during storage
