Overview
HP-ZRD-1000 paper softness tester is a HENGPIN brand product, designed according to the national standard GB/T8942 "Determination of paper softness", it is a test instrument that simulates the softness of the hand. It is suitable for the softness measurement of high-grade paper, sheet, fiber fabrics and other materials, and has professional measurement functions.

Principle
Under the specified conditions, when the plate probe presses the sample into the slot-die at a certain depth (about 8mm), the sum of the maximum vector of the bending force of the sample itself and the friction between the sample and the gap is called softness, expressed in milliNewtons. The smaller the softness value, the softer the sample.

Steps
1. Prepare the sample.
2. Press the specimen into the slot-die to a specified depth (approximately 8mm).
3. The instrument automatically measures and displays the softness value.
Notice
• Power supply voltage 220V +/- 10%.
• Test speed is controlled within the range of 1.2 +/- 0.24mm/s.
• The probe indentation depth should be kept at 8 + 0.5mm.
• Measurement accuracy is regularly calibrated.
