Overview
The PosiTector SHDD1 Shore Shore Durometer is a Defelsko brand Handheld Hardness measuring instrument specifically designed for non-metallic materials. This model is suitable for Shore D Hardness range 0 to 100HD, with user-adjustable Measurement time, auto-ignore mode, and protection against solvents, acids, water and dust.
Features
1. Simple: Enhanced one-handed menu operation, including Chinese interface; user-defined test time, screen countdown display; reset function can quickly restore to factory state
2. Durable: acid-proof, oil-proof, waterproof, solvent-proof, dust-proof; anti-collision rubber protective cover with waist clip
3. Accurate: Each instrument has a calibrated certificate traceable to NIST standards; Auto-filtrate mode filters less than 20% and more than 90% of readings according to international standards; High resolution mode Display resolution 0.1; Random measurement test blocks; ISO and ASTM compliant
4. Universal: can be used with DeFelsko's Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge, Coating thickness gauge, dew point meter, salt measurement instrument, surface roughness instrument, Pap hardness gauge shared host; high contrast ratio reversible color display with backlight; inverted display for easy reading; use alkaline battery, optional rechargeable battery
5. Effective: continuous display including average, Standard Deviation, Maximum/MIN Minimum and measurement times; upper and lower limit alarm; screenshot function can save the screen display into picture format; connect the computer through the USB data cable and power supply; can download and browse data through the computer; can upgrade the program through the computer
Principle
The hardness gauge is based on the principle of Crane hardness testing, which determines the Shore Hardness value of Non-metallic materials by measuring the Crane depth under a specific pressure. The instrument uses an automatic filtrate mode to ignore invalid readings according to international standards to ensure measurement accuracy.
Applications
Rigid rubber, epoxy resin, rigid plastic, PVC, acrylic
Standards
ASTM D2240、ISO 868/7267/7619、DIN 53505
Steps
1. Turn on the device and select Measurement mode
2. Set the user-defined test time and observe the screen countdown
3. Press the Probe vertically into the surface of the tested material
4. Read the Hardness value displayed on the screen, the instrument automatically filtrates the invalid reading
5. Connect the computer via USB for data transfer or program upgrade
Notice
• Probe clean to avoid contamination affecting Measurement accuracy
• Keep the instrument vertically pressed into the material surface during measurement
Periodically calibrated to ensure measurement accuracy
• Avoid use in extreme temperatures or Humidity environments
• Turn off the power in time after use to save battery
