Overview
The SP3000 is a multifunctional adhesion cross-cut test instrument made of stainless steel with a size of 100 x 55mm. It not only provides adhesion measurement according to ISO 2409:2003, ASTM D3359 standards, but also integrates wet film thickness gauge, wet Film Applicator, levelling detection scale and fillet detection. It is a cost-effective and powerful adhesion detection instrument.
Features
1. Multifunctional integrated design, integrating adhesion testing, wet-film thickness measurement, wet-film Spreader, levelling detection and fillet detection
2. Stainless steel, durable and accurate
3. Wet-film thickness range of 50-160 microns, scale accuracy of 10 microns
4. Wet-film Spreader range 0-180 microns
5. Provide three levels of levelling detection scale, easy to detect viscosity indicators
6. The four corners of the panel have fillet detection function, covering R2, R3, R4, R5
7. Delivery includes knives and tape for easy operation
Principle
The SP3000 performs 1- (1.5) -2-3mm cut adhesion testing with a cut gap of 1- (1.5) -2-3mm through a stainless steel cross-cut plate, in accordance with ISO 2409:2003 and ASTM D3359 cross-cutting standards. Coating thickness measurement and adjustment are also performed using an integrated wet film thickness gauge and coating applicator, and Coating viscosity is assessed by levelling scale.
Applications
Coating adhesion testing, wet film thickness measurement, Coating leveling testing, coating fillet evaluation
Standards
ISO 2409:2003、ASTM D3359
Steps
1. Select the appropriate tooth spacing (1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm or 3mm) according to the test requirements.
2. Cross cutting on the coating surface with a tool
3. Apply adhesive tape for adhesion assessment
4. Coating thickness measurement using wet film thickness gauge (50-160 micron range)
5. Adjust Coating thickness with Wet Film Applicator (0-180 μm)
6. Check Coating viscosity by levelling test scale
7. Evaluate coating edge coverage using fillet detection
Notice
Make sure the instrument is clean before operation to avoid impurities affecting the test results
Select the appropriate tooth spacing and test method according to the standard
* Pay attention to scale accuracy when measuring thickness and Spreader of wet-film to avoid misreading
* The levelling test needs to be carried out in a standard environment to ensure the accuracy of the data
* Carefully compare R values during fillet detection to ensure correct evaluation
Clean and maintain the instrument in time after use to prolong its service life
