Overview
ZB-XK200A electric paper water absorption tester is mainly used to measure the water absorption of various papers with a Maximum absorption height of not more than 200mm.
Features
1. Adopt manual cam lift
2. Comes with stopwatch, timing reminder
3. Water absorption time can be set, default 10min +/- 10s (600 +/- 10 s)
4. Start automatic timing at the same time as entering the water
Principle
The instrument is based on the principle of the Krem method, by immersing the standard size paper vertically into the liquid, using capillary action to make the liquid rise along the paper, and measuring its rising height within a specified time, so as to determine the capillary liquid absorption height of the paper (water absorption).
Applications
Paper water absorption determination
Standards
GB/T 461.1-2002 Paper and Cardboard Determination of Capillary Absorption Height (Krem Method)
Steps
Prepare specimens that meet the size requirements (width (15 +/- 1) mm, length ≥ 250mm).
2. Fix the sample on the instrument.
3. Immerse the sample vertically into the liquid through the manual cam, and the instrument automatically starts timing.
4. After reaching the preset water absorption time (e.g. default 600 +/- 10 seconds), the instrument will alert.
5. Read the height value of the liquid rising on the scale (Measurement range 5~ 200mm, Graduation 1mm).
Notice
• Please ensure that the instrument power supply (AA battery 1.5V × 2) is sufficient before use.
The sample size must strictly meet the standard requirements.
• Ensure that the sample is immersed vertically during operation to ensure measurement accuracy.
• Note that the timing accuracy is 0.1 seconds, and it is necessary to read in time after the instrument reminder.
• Maximum absorption height of the instrument is not more than 200mm paper, do not exceed the range of use.
