Overview
RDS wide-wound Applicator rod model RDS 4 #L1135φ 10, manufactured by RDS company in the United States with more than 80 years of experience in R & D and production of Spreader Metering rod. The product adopts the Mayer rod coating method, which is simple, accurate, uniform and economical. It is suitable for a variety of substrates. It can quickly adjust the coating weight and film thickness, providing a flexible Spreader solution.
Features
1. Using the wire-wound production process, the wet film thickness is 9.1 μm.
2. The diameter of the steel wire is φ 0.10mm, the diameter of the main rod is φ 10mm, the total length is 1135mm, and the effective application width is 810mm.
3. The mandrel is made of stainless steel 304, and the surface is chrome-plated to enhance durability.
4. The clamping length at both ends is 175mm, making it easy to install and operate.
5. Support customization to meet specific application requirements.
Principle
Wire-wound Applicator rod is based on the principle of Mayer rod coating method, and a cavity is formed on the surface of the rod through a wire-wound structure to control the coating flow and Coating thickness. When Spreader, the coating forms a uniform wet-film between the rod and the substrate, and the wire diameter and winding spacing determine the Coating thickness to achieve accurate Spreader.
Applications
Paint, window film, tape, release paper, photovoltaic film, wall covering material, special paper
Steps
1. Select the appropriate wire-wound Applicator rod specification according to the application requirements.
2. Install Applicator rod to ensure that both ends are firmly clamped.
3. Adjust Spreader parameters such as pressure and speed to control Coating thickness.
4. Start the Spreader process and uniformly apply the Spreader coating.
5. Clean Applicator rod after completion to prevent clogging.
Notice
• Before use, check whether the surface of the Applicator rod is in good condition to avoid damage affecting the Spreader effect.
• Pay attention to control the viscosity of the paint during the Spreader process to prevent clogging the wire winding cavity.
• Applicator rods are cleaned regularly to ensure long-term performance.
• Avoid collision and corrosion environment during storage to extend service life.
