Overview
PUYUN PY-606 Film thickness tester is a special instrument specially developed and produced for paper and Cardboard Film thickness detection, and can also be used to detect the Film thickness of sheet materials with certain tightness characteristics.

Principle
The instrument applies pressure to the sample under the specified contact pressure (100 +/- 5kpa) through the measurement head with standard contact area (200 +/- 5mm ²), and the distance between the head and the reference plane is changed by High Accuracy Displacement Sensor measurement.

Steps
1. Place the instrument on a stable table that meets the requirements of the working environment (temperature (20 +/- 10) ° C, humidity < 85%).
2. Turn on and warm up to ensure the stability of the instrument.
3. Place the sample to be tested flat on the measurement table.
4. Operate the instrument so that the measurement head contacts the sample at standard pressure.
5. Read and record Film thickness measurements displayed by the instrument.
6. After the measurement is completed, raise the measurement head and take out the sample.
Notice
• Please ensure that the instrument is on a horizontal and stable working surface before use.
• The operating environment must meet the requirements of temperature (20 +/- 10) ℃ and humidity < 85%.
• Before measurement, ensure that the surface of the sample is flat, clean, and free of folds or foreign matter.
• During measurement, the measurement head should contact the sample smoothly and vertically to avoid lateral forces.
• Regularly clean the measurement head and datum to maintain their cleanliness to ensure Measurement accuracy.
• Do not use beyond the range to avoid severe Impact on the measurement head.
• When the instrument is not in use, it is recommended to take appropriate protection and store it in a drying environment.
