Overview
The softness tester is a kind of testing instrument that simulates the softness of the hand. This instrument is designed according to the relevant provisions of the national standard GB8942 "Determination of Paper Softness" with reference to the principle of the American Handle-O-Meter instrument. It is mainly used for the softness measurement of sheet-like soft software materials such as medium and high-grade paper, sheet, fiber fabrics, etc.
Features
1. Measurement range: 10~ 1000mN
2. Test speed: 1.2mm/s
3. indication resolution: 1mN
4. Precision : +/- 1%
5. Microcomputer control, 3.5IN color LCD display with Linear dispersion display
6. With micro thermal printer
7. Instrument standard test weight (3 groups), using 304 #stainless steel grinding, quenching
8. Built-in calibrating program, easy Measurement, calibrating department (third party) to calibrate the instrument
Principle
This instrument refers to the principle of the American Handle-O-Meter instrument, and measures the softness of the material by pressing the sample at a speed of 1.2mm/s through the probe to measure the ability of the sample to resist deformation. The test lever ratio is 312:73, and the probe is pressed into the depth of 8 + 0.5mm.
Applications
Medium and high-grade paper, sheet, fiber fabrics and other sheet-like soft software materials
Standards
GB/T8942、QB/T1060、ASTM D2923、ASTM D6828-02、TAPPI T498、INDA IST 90.3、EDANA WSP 90.3
Steps
1. Select the appropriate sample table slot-die width (5mm, 6.35mm, 10mm, 20mm)
2. Select the appropriate moment code group (20/25 group, 10/16 group, 6.35/16 group, 5/16 group)
3. Place the specimen on the specimen stand
4. Start the test, the probe is pressed into the sample at a speed of 1.2mm/s
5. Test time 15 seconds
6. View test results and Linear dispersion with 3.5IN color LCD
7. Use a micro thermal printer to print the test report
Notice
• The parallelism error on both sides of the sample table slot-die should be less than or equal to 0.05mm.
• Total Probe Travel 12 +/- 0.5mm
• Cam reset angle is 90 ° +/- 1 °
• The chamfer of the probe is R = 1.0mm.
• Power supply voltage is AC 220V +/- 22V, 50Hz
• Standard test weights (200g, 400g, 600g) should be calibrated before use
• The instrument weight is about 33kg, pay attention to safety when handling
