Overview
The American Defelsko UTGC3-E is an advanced Portable Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge with a 5MHz dual-element Probe. Measurement range is 1~ 125mm, dedicated to material wall thickness measurement. Compared to the standard UTG C1, the UTGC3-E is more powerful, can store up to 100,000 data points, supports real-time graphics and picture prompts, and the host is compatible with the Positector series Miscellaneous Probe for multi-function applications.
Features
1. High contrast ratio color LCD
2. A scanning function with adjustable Gain and screenshots for easy analysis and recording
3.B scan function, displaying the cross-sectional profile of the test material
4. Storage capacity up to 100,000 measurement readings, support 1000 batches
5. Store thickness, profile and environment measurements in a single batch
6. Built-in QWERTY keyboard, supports screen batch comments and name changes
7. WiFi technology, wireless synchronization to PosiTector.net, download software updates, connect mobile devices to expand functions

12. Precision Ultrasonic Sensor for Fast and Accurate Readings
13. Positector host is compatible with all PosiTector 6000, 200, DPM, UTG, RTR and SPG Probe, can be converted into layer thickness gauge, dew point gauge, Surface Profile Gauge or ultrasonic wall thickness gauge
14. Support single point or two point calibrating
15. Inch/mm unit conversion
Principle
UTGC3-E uses ultrasonic technology for material wall thickness measurement. It transmits and receives ultrasonic signals through the 5MHz dual-element Probe, and calculates the propagation time of the signal in the material to determine the thickness. Built-in temperature compensation and automatic V-way compensation function ensure Measurement accuracy, especially suitable for single-sided measurable, corrosion or erosion structures such as tanks and pipe walls.
Applications
Material wall thickness measurement, steel, plastic, tank, pipe wall and other structures
Steps
1. Select measurement material or custom input speed
2. Use Probe to contact the surface of the tested material
3. Obtain thickness data through A-scan or B-scan mode
4. calibrating equipment (optional single point or two point calibrating)
5. Store measurement readings, add notes or batch names
6. Wirelessly sync data via WiFi or connect to a mobile device
Notice
• Ensure that the Probe is fully coupled to the surface of the material being tested
• Avoid use in extreme temperatures or Humidity environments
Periodically calibrate equipment to maintain accuracy
• Use wear-resistant probes and pay attention to Protection Ratings to prevent damage from solvents, acids, oils, water and dust
• Pay attention to group management when storing data to avoid data loss
