Overview
The US RDS 75 #3/8\ "molded Applicator rod is a large film thickness rod with a film thickness of 171.5 μm and a formed production process. The molded Applicator rod is the same as the wire-wound Proofing rod in material, accuracy and scope of application, and the wet film thickness of the same model of RDS Mayer Rods is the same. It is widely used in experimental testing of levelling, sagging, color matching, color fixing, hiding power, fingerprint resistance, etc. It is suitable for various viscosity coatings, inks, emulsion, etc.
Features
1. Large film thickness design, film thickness up to 171.5μm
2. formed production process to ensure consistent accuracy
3. Material is stainless steel, with strong durability
4. The same material, accuracy and scope of application as the wire-wound Proofing rod
5. The same model RDS Mayer Rods wet film thickness is the same
Principle
The RDS molded Applicator rod is made through a formed production process that rolls or scrapes on the substrate when used to form a uniform wet-film. Its design ensures that the Spreader thickness is accurate to 171.5 μm and is suitable for experimental Spreaders of various liquid materials to evaluate performance such as leveling, hiding power, etc.
Applications
Levelling test, sag test, color test, color repair test, hiding power test, fingerprint resistance test
Steps
1. Prepare samples of coatings, inks or emulsions to be tested
2. RDS Molding Applicator rod placed on the substrate
3. Roll or scrape evenly to form a wet-film
4. Observe and record experimental effects, such as levelling, hiding power, etc
Notice
• Applicator rod clean before use to avoid contamination of sample
• Spreader with uniform force for accurate thickness
• Suitable for various viscosity materials, but the operation needs to be adjusted according to the specific product
• Avoid collisions when storing to prevent damage to the rod body
