PUYUN PY-H601A Automatic Burst Strength Tester (Cardboard Type) is a self-developed equipment for testing the Burst Strength performance of paper and Cardboard, Corrugated Board and carton. It is equipped with kpa, gf/cm2, Lb/in2 and other test units. The instrument is suitable for the determination of paper Burst Strength and breaking index, including box Cardboard, Kraft Paper, cardboard, corrugated paper, gray board paper, etc., as well as Corrugated Board and corrugated carton Burst Strength. It is suitable for Cardboard manufacturers, carton manufacturers, carton users, scientific research institutions and other units.

Principle
The instrument is pumped with hydraulic fluid at a steady rate, so that the specimen and the film are freely raised together until the specimen breaks, and the applied hydraulic MAX Maximum is recorded as the Burst Strength value. During the test, the specimen is clamped between the two specimen chucks, and the pressure is increased at a rate of (170 +/- 15) ml/min. The film resistance maintains a stable range at a specific raised height.

Steps
1. Select no less than 10 groups of samples from the same batch of samples, and each of the front and back sides is attached to the film for determination.
2. Use a standard cutter to cut the standard specification specimen, and the sampling size is greater than or equal to 70mm × 70mm, or the whole specimen is directly tested.
3. Open the sample chuck, clamp the sample in the middle, start the meter and increase the pressure at a rate of (170 +/- 15) ml/min until the sample breaks, and record the Burst Strength value.
4. Calculate the burst resistance index: X = P/g, where P is the average Burst Strength (kPa), g is the Cardboard Basis Weight (g/m2), and the result retains three significant digits.
Notice
• The sampling position must be taken in the middle without damage.
• Environmental requirements Temperature (20 +/- 10) ℃, Humidity < 85%.
• The gas source pressure needs to be provided by the customer, and the range is 0.4-0 MPa.
• Ensure that the film resistance is within the specified raised height range: 170~ 220kPa when the raised height is 10 +/- 0.2mm, and 250~ 350kPa when the raised height is 18 +/- 0.2mm.
The clamping force should be greater than 690Kpa to ensure the accuracy of the test.
