Overview
The PosiTector DPM L is a dew point recorder with an electromagnetic Probe that can be fixed to steel structures for independent monitoring and recording of climate conditions. It is capable of measuring and recording parameters such as relative humidity, air temperature, surface temperature, dewpoint temperature, surface-to-dew point temperature difference, and wet-bulb temperature for up to 200 days. The recorded data can be downloaded from the main body of the PosiTector Advanced measuring tool or from an Apple/Android smart device.
Features
1. Environmentally friendly shell, all-weather, dustproof, shockproof, Protection Rating reaches or exceeds IP65.
2. Fast Response Precision Sensor, providing accurate, repeatability readings.
3. Internal memory can store 10,000 datasets (60,000 readings).
4. Equipped with Kensington security slot, providing anti-theft protection (Kensington Lock needs to be purchased separately).
Battery life is long (about 120 days at a 5-minute recording interval and about 200 days at a 1-hour interval).
6. Each stored dataset is dated and timestamped.
7. Includes calibrated certificates traceable to NIST.
8. Compliance with national and international standards, including ISO and ASTM.
9. Provide two data download methods: through the PosiTector App or the PosiTector Advanced host.
10. After connecting via Bluetooth 4.0 (Bluetooth Smart), you can automatically download readings, view real-time data on the screen, set out-of-parameter alerts, and have a smart trend indicator.
11. You can easily create reports and manage data using PosiSoft software.
Principle
The logger continuously monitors environment climate parameters including relative humidity, air temperature and surface temperature through its precision Sensor. Based on these Measured values, the instrument calculates dewpoint temperature, surface-to-dew point temperature difference and wet-bulb temperature. The user can choose an interval between 1 minute and 8 hours for automatic recording, Data storage in internal memory. With Bluetooth 4.0 technology, data can be wirelessly transmitted to a smart device or PosiTector Advanced host for viewing, analysis and export.
Applications
Steel structure climate monitoring, coating construction environment monitoring, industrial environment recording, quality control and inspection
Steps
1. Fix the electromagnetic Probe on the surface of the steel structure to be monitored.
2. Turn on and set the required recording measurement interval (between 1 minute and 8 hours).
3. The instrument begins automatic measurement and recording of climate parameters.
4. When you need to download data, connect the smart device (install the PosiTector App) or the PosiTector Advanced host to the Probe through Bluetooth 4.0 technology.
5. Once connected, the data can be downloaded automatically and real-time measurement data or history can be viewed on the screen.
6. Use PosiSoft software to analyze, manage, and generate reports on downloaded data.
Notice
• Make sure the Probe is firmly attached to the monitoring surface.
• Choose the appropriate recording interval to equilibrate data density and Battery life.
• Before using the PosiTector App or Advanced host to download data, please make sure that the Bluetooth function is turned on and within the effective connection range.
• Kensington lock needs to be purchased separately, if you need anti-theft protection, please configure it separately.
• Pay attention to the Temperature range of the instrument to avoid long-term work in an over-limit environment affecting the accuracy or equipment.
• Regularly check the battery level to ensure that the recording cycle is complete.
• The calibrated certificate should be safeguarded to support the traceability of the measurement data.
