Overview
ZHS-4 paper and Cardboard thickness tester is an international general Schopper type special instrument designed by CCYONGXIN using the principle of contact measurement. The instrument is suitable for the measurement of the thickness of various paper, Cardboard and Miscellaneous sheet materials below 4mm. The results are expressed in millimeters or microns by measuring the vertical distance under contact pressure.
Features
1. Adopt the internationally accepted Schopper contact measurement principle
2. Measurement range 0-4mm, suitable for a variety of sheet materials
3. Contact pressure 100 +/- 10kPa, contact area 2 +/- 0.05cm ²
4. Using standard dial indicator, accurate reading
5. Reasonable structural design, divided into four parts: paper pressing mechanism, indicating mechanism, lifting mechanism and connecting mechanism
6. Compact shape, light weight, simple operation
Principle
This instrument is based on the principle of contact measurement method. The sample is sandwiched between the measurement head and the measuring anvil. The lower end face of the measurement head has a contact area of 2cm ². The sum of heavy thallium, measurement head gravity and dial spring force produces a contact pressure of 100kPa. When the material is pressed, the measurement head moves by a distance equal to the thickness of the material. This displacement is transmitted to the dial internal gear mechanism for amplification, which is converted into the angle of the pointer along the dial, thereby giving the thickness reading value.
Applications
Paper, Cardboard, Sheet Material
Steps
1. Press the lever with the left thumb and lift the measurement head
2. Put the test sample in the right hand between the probe and the measuring anvil, and the sample should cover all the measurement surface
3. Evenly and slowly relax the lever, drop the measurement head to contact with the sample, the thumb is completely relaxed, and the hand leaves the instrument
4. Record the dial reading, the small pointer indicates the millimeter integer, and the large pointer indicates the millimeter decimal.
5. Press the lever to lift the measurement head, take out the sample, and measure it at least three different points on the same sample
Notice
• When not in use, the instrument should be placed in a glass cover or plastic bag to prevent dust
• Measurement head end face and measuring anvil surface to prevent collision and corrosion, gauze should be wiped before and after measurement
• After the measurement head is lifted, it should fall gently under the action of gravity to prevent Impact damage to the instrument
• The lifting height of the measurement head should not be too high
• Regularly clean and oil the instrument
• If the measurement head and the measuring anvil surface are rusted, they should be stopped from being used, and they need to be disassembled and ground before they can be used for re-inspection
