Overview
ZHD-4 Paper thickness tester is a special instrument designed according to the relevant provisions of the professional standard QB1055-91 "Paper and Cardboard thickness tester". The instrument is suitable for the measurement of the thickness of various paper, Cardboard and Miscellaneous sheet materials below 4mm.
Features
1. International general Schopper structure designed using contact measurement principle
2. Measurement range 0~ 4mm, resolution up to 0.001mm
3. Contact pressure 100 +/- 10kPa, contact area 2 +/- 0.05cm ²
4. Compact shape, size 120 * 150 * 260mm, weight 11.2kg
5. Digital display meter or mechanical dial meter can be used for measurement
Principle
This instrument adopts the principle of contact measurement method to measure the thickness of the sample by measuring the contact pressure between the head and the measuring anvil. Thickness refers to the vertical distance between the paper or Cardboard under a certain pressure between the two measurement plates. According to the thickness of the paper, multi-layer measurement or single-layer measurement can be taken, and the thickness of the paper is represented by the result of single-layer measurement. After the instrument is powered on, the motor drives the cam to rotate, and converts the swirl/spin motion into the vertical and vertical linear reciprocating motion of the measurement head to complete the sample thickness measurement work.
Steps
1. Place the instrument on a flat and stable bench
2. Zero adjustment:
- If using a digital display meter: the lower end of the measurement rod is in contact with the measuring anvil, and the meter head is fixed after contacting the upper end of the measurement rod
- If using a mechanical dial meter: the lower end of the measurement rod is in contact with the measuring anvil, turn the dial to make the zero point up, the watch head touches the upper end of the measurement rod and tightens the watch screw lightly, manually press the meter to make the pointer point to the correct position and fix it
Notice
• The instrument should be placed on a flat and stable workbench for use
• The tightness of the watch screws should be appropriate to avoid being too tight or too loose
• Please read the digital display instruction manual carefully when using the digital display meter
• When using a mechanical dial meter, pay attention to the contact strength of the watch head to avoid damage
• Zero adjustment procedure must be completed before measurement
