Overview
The Defelsko PosiTector 6000 FLS1 Aluminized Thickness Gauge is an eddy Current thickness gauge for nondestructive testing of nonconductive Coating thickness on non-ferrous metal substrates (such as aluminum and copper). Measurement range is 0~ 13mm. As a standard thickness gauge of the Positector6000 series, it has 1000 data storage functions, supports free splitting and replacement of Probe, and adopts menu navigation, which is easy and convenient to operate.
Features
1. Adopt eddy Current Measurement principle, suitable for non-ferrous metal substrates and nonconductive coatings
2. Thick coating measurement capability, range 0~ 13mm
3. Standard model design, Probe can be freely split and replaced
4. Equipped with 2.8-inch color Touchscreen, menu navigation is easy to operate
5. Support 1000 measurement Data storage
6. Protection Rating IP65, adaptable to a variety of working environments
7. Measurement speed up to 60 + readings per minute
8. Support Chinese and English system languages
9. Equipped with USB port and PosiSoft software suite
Principle
The instrument uses the eddy Current Measurement principle to generate a high-frequency electromagnetic field through Probe. When Probe is close to a nonconductive coating on a nonferrous metal substrate, an eddy current is generated in the substrate. Coating thickness is nondestructive measurement by detecting eddy current changes.
Applications
Coating thickness measurement, epoxy coating measurement, fire-proof coatings measurement on nonconductive metal substrates
Standards
ISO 2178、ISO 2360、ISO 2808、PrEN ISO 19840、ASTM B499、ASTM D1186、ASTM D1400、ASTM D7091、ASTM E376、ASTM G12、BS3900-C5、SSPC-PA2
Steps
1. Install 3 AAA alkaline batteries
2. Select the appropriate Probe as needed and install it
3. Measurement parameters set by menu navigation
4. Probes placed on nonconductive coating surfaces of nonferrous metal substrates for measurement
5. View measurement results through Touchscreen
6. Connect to the computer using the USB interface and manage the storage data through PosiSoft software
Notice
• Only for nonconductive coating measurements on non-ferrous metal substrates (e.g. aluminum, copper)
• Make sure the instrument calibration certificate is valid before measurement
• Avoid use in strong electromagnetic interference environments
• Pay attention to the correct installation of battery polarity
• Keep Probe clean to avoid affecting Measurement accuracy
• Be careful not to exceed the capacity limit of 1000 Measured values when storing data
