The QTY-32-III paint film Bending tester is a professional testing instrument of JINGKELIAN brand. It is mainly used to determine the flexibility of Paints and varnish films. The instrument is specially used to evaluate the anti-cracking or disbonding performance of Paints, varnish and related coatings when bent around cylindrical mandrel under standard conditions.

Principle
The instrument works based on the effect of different bending radii on film ductility. When the film is bent on different diameter shafts, the flexibility is determined according to its cracking or disbonding. Film flexibility is evaluated by bending the film sample 180 ° around different diameter shafts and observing whether the coating is cracking or disbonding.

Steps
1. Apply the paint to the metal substrate
2. Carefully film and dry to ensure good reproducibility
3. Test substrate is bent to 180 ° with uniform force within 1-2 seconds
4. Starting from the maximum diameter shaft rod, decrease the diameter test until the coating is seen to break
5. The test should be carried out at 23 +/- 2 ° C temperature and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity
Notice
• In order to prevent damage to the coating during bending operation, the thin paper can be lined on the sample film surface and then inserted into the test between the pallet and the adjustment handle
• If 10x magnifying glass is used to observe the test results, it should be indicated
• When the minimum diameter shaft rod is used without cracking or disbonding, the diameter of the shaft rod should be indicated
• If the sample is an Aluminum Panel, its long side should be parallel to the rolling direction
