Overview
PUSHEN XB-I 15μm Mayer Rods is a laboratory tool for preparing 15 micron wet film thickness with a total length of 240mm and an effective application width of 200mm. Made of stainless steel, it is widely used in plastics, inks and other industries and has a long service life.
Features
1. Ideal for Spreader thin coatings, such as can Coatings and paper Coatings
2. wet film thickness engraved at the end of XB bar
3. Best for soft materials such as paper, Cardboard, foil, leather, test cardboard, Spinning & weaving products
4. Rod and winding are made of high-grade wear-resistant stainless steel
5. Use stainless steel wire winding to form grooves, which can be prepared with different wet film thicknesses
Principle
The lab bar uses stainless steel wires to wrap around its surface to form grooves, and prepares films of different thicknesses through the gaps between the wires. Wire of different diameters is wrapped around a certain length of stainless steel steel bars, and the gaps between the wires are used to prepares films of different thicknesses.
Applications
Plastic, inks, paints, varnish, ink, glue, can Coatings, paper Coatings
Steps
1. Select the appropriate type of coating rod according to needs
2. Reference wet film thickness calculation formula: wet film thickness = Coating Weight g/per square meter (density × Solid content%)
3. Apply the coating rod to the surface of the test sample
4. Uniform and comparable coating samples are prepared
Notice
* The wet film thickness calculation formula is for reference only, the actual wet film thickness is also affected by various factors such as product ductility, viscosity, coating rod type and so on
* Samples need to be uniform, comparable, and precise thickness control to ensure test Reliability
* Best for soft materials, such as paper, Cardboard, foil, leather, etc
