Overview
RDS #33 Mayer Rods is a wire-wound Applicator rod imported from RDS in the United States, model 33 #3/8 ", specially designed for simple Spreader method. This product is suitable for paper, Cardboard, Glass Board, Wood Board and other substrate preparatory samples. It is widely used in Coating, inks, Plastic, Adhesive and other industries. Spreader wet film thickness is 75.4 microns, with 80 years of brand history and mass reputation.
Features
1. RDS imported from the United States, the brand has a long history and excellent mass reputation
2. Using wide-wound production process, Spreader accuracy is high
3. Spreader wet film thickness fixed to 75.4 microns, good conformity
4. Stainless steel material, strong durability
5. Simple design, easy operation, suitable for a variety of substrates
Principle
RDS #33 Mayer Rods is based on the principle of Mayer Rod coating rod, which uniformly Spreader liquid material on the surface of the substrate through a wire-wound structure. When used, the coating rod rolls or scrapes on the substrate, and the wire gap controls the wet film thickness of 75.4 microns to achieve accurate Spreader.
Applications
Coatings, inks, Plastics, Adhesives
Steps
1. Spreader substrates such as paper, Cardboard, Glass or Wood
2. Coatings, inks or Miscellaneous liquid materials are applied evenly to the surface of the substrate
3. Hold both ends of the coating rod to move smoothly on the substrate at an appropriate angle and pressure
4. Spreader, check the wet film thickness is uniform
5. Clean coating rod for next use
Notice
• Make sure the surface of the substrate is clean and flat before operation
• Spreader to maintain uniform pressure and speed to avoid uneven thickness
• Clean the coating rod in time after use to prevent material residue
Avoid collisions during storage to protect the integrity of the wire-wound structure
• Only professionals operate in the appropriate environment
