Overview
JFL JFL-B60S curved hole glossmeter is a common curved surface glossmeter, equipped with 1.5 * 3mm small hole measurement diameter. The instrument is suitable for surface gloss measurement such as medium Gloss coatings, especially suitable for measurement of curved surfaces or complex shapes, and can carry out small area accurate measurement. Measurement projection angle is 60 °, Measurement range is 0~ 199.9GU.
Features
1.Equipped with 1.5 * 3mm small hole measurement diameter, suitable for small area measurement
2. Designed for curved and complex surfaces
3. Measurement Angles at 60 °, suitable for medium Gloss coatings
4. Graduation accuracy to 0.1GU
5. Portable design, weight only 300g, powered by AA battery
Principle
The instrument projects rays of light to the measured surface through 60 ° Measurement Angles, receives the reflected light and calculates the Glossiness value. The small hole measurement aperture design can accurately measure the Glossiness of curved and complex shaped surfaces.
Applications
Glossiness value of pen body curved surface such as pen, ballpoint pen, automobile coating surface, plastic, decoration, specimen and other surfaces with complex shapes
Standards
ISO-2813、ASTMD2457、GB9754、GB9966、GB8807
Steps
1. Press the switch, place the instrument on the Black Glass standard board, and swirl/spin the adjustment knob to make the displayed value the same as the standard board nominal value
2. Put it on the white ceramic standard board, and the error between the displayed value and the nominal value should not be greater than +/- 1.2 Gloss unit.
3. When the error exceeds the difference, re-calibrate
4. After calibrating, the sample can be measured, and the overflow "1" will be displayed when the measured value exceeds 199.9 Gloss unit.
Notice
• Need to calibrate before measurement
• Standard board should be kept clean to avoid dirt affecting Measurement accuracy
• When the error between the display value and the nominal value of the white ceramic standard plate is greater than +/- 1.2 Gloss unit, it needs to be re-calibrated
• Measured values over 199.9 Gloss units will show an overflow prompt
• Turn off the power in time after use
