Overview
American RDS #46 grooved rod is an Applicator rod dedicated to Spreader 105.2 micron thickness film, model 46 #3/8. The product adopts wire-wound production process, which is suitable for preparing samples in film plastics, Coating inks, Resin and other industries, and is especially suitable for measuring the hiding power and color performance of films. RDS grooved rod is made of 303 stainless steel, which is easy to operate and uniform film, and is also suitable for experiments with high abrasion and high viscosity.
Features
1. Provide accurate 105.2 micron wet film thickness Spreader
2. Made of 303 stainless steel, durable and corrosion resistant
3. Wire-wound production process to ensure uniform film
4. Suitable for high abrasion and high viscosity test
5. Easy to operate, improve experimental efficiency
Principle
The RDS grooved rod uses a wire-wound structure to control the film thickness of 105.2 microns during the Spreader process. When used, the Coating Uniform Spreader is placed on the substrate, and the grooved design helps to precisely adjust the film thickness and ensure the uniformity of the Spreader, which is convenient for subsequent performance testing.
Applications
Film Plastic, Coating inks, Resin
Steps
1. Prepare Substrate and Coatings for Spreader
2. Place the RDS grooved rod on the substrate
3. Apply pressure evenly, Spreader Coating along the substrate surface
4. Ensure that the application width is 300mm, and pay attention to the 50 + 50mm area when operating
5. After Spreader, check film uniformity
Notice
• Check whether the grooved rod is clean before use to avoid impurities affecting the film mass
• Spreader to maintain uniform pressure to prevent uneven film thickness
• Avoid operating in extreme temperatures or Humidity environments to avoid affecting material performance
• Clean and maintain in time after use to prolong product life
