Overview
PUSHEN XB-I 40μm Mayer Rods is a laboratory wire-wound Spreader tool, which can be used to control the wet film thickness by winding stainless steel wires to form grooves, and can be prepared for 40 μm wet-film. The total length is 240mm, the effective application width is 200mm, and it is made of stainless steel. It is widely used in plastics, inks and other industries.
Features
1. Very suitable for Spreader thin coatings, such as can Coatings and paper Coatings
2. The wet film thickness is engraved on the end of the bar for easy identification
3. For soft materials such as paper, Cardboard, foil, leather, test cardboard, Spinning & weaving products, etc
4. Rod and winding are made of high-grade wear-resistant stainless steel
5. Wet-films with different wet film thicknesses can be prepared for inks films
Principle
The lab bar uses stainless steel wires to wrap around its surface to form grooves, and prepares films of different thicknesses through the gaps between the wires. Wire of different diameters is wound around a certain length of stainless steel bars, and the gap between the wires is used to control the wet film thickness.
Applications
Plastics, inks, paints, varnishes, inks, glues
Steps
1. Choose the appropriate coating rod model according to your needs
2. Use the wet film thickness calculation formula: wet film thickness = Coating Weight g/per square meter (density × Solid content%)
3. Note that the actual wet film thickness is also affected by factors such as product ductility, viscosity, coating rod type, etc
4. Spreader operation to ensure uniform, comparable samples and accurate thickness control
Notice
* The calculation formula of wet film thickness is for reference only, the actual thickness is affected by many factors
* Spreader samples need to be uniform, comparable, and have accurate thickness control
It works best on soft materials
* When selecting coating rods, factors such as product ductility, viscosity, coating rod type, etc. should be considered
