Overview
The JFL QXD 0-150μm Grindometer is a single-slot fineness measuring instrument with a range of 0-150μm. The product is made of cemented carbide steel with high Hardness, good heat resistance, Abrasion Resistance and corrosion resistance, ensuring its long service life. It is mainly used to determine the fineness of particles such as pigments and impurities in Paints, paint slurries, and is equipped with a special drawdown blade.
Features
1. Made of carbide steel, Hardness, heat resistance, wear resistance and corrosion resistance, long service life.
2. Single-channe design, with a range of 0-150 μm and a Graduation of 10 μm.
3. Comply with relevant national standards.
Principle
The Grindometer uses a matching drawdown blade to scrape through the groove at constant speed and pressure by placing the sample to be tested at one end of the flat groove. The size of the particles in the sample determines the end position of the scraped mark on the groove scale, and the fineness of the particles in the sample can be determined by reading the scale value corresponding to this position.
Applications
Paints, Printing inks, plastics, pigments, ceramics, paper
Standards
GB/T1724-9、GB/T13217.3-91
Steps
1. Ensure that the scraper and drawdown blade are clean and drying.
2. Place a sufficient amount of the sample to be tested at the deep end of the scraper groove.
3. Hold the drawdown blade with both hands so that it is perpendicular to the surface of the scraper, and scrape the drawdown blade from the deep end of the groove to the shallow end within 1-2 seconds at a uniform speed and appropriate pressure.
4. After scraping the sample, immediately (no more than 3 seconds) make the line of sight at a 15-30 ° angle to the groove plane, and observe the position where the sample particles are uniformly exposed in the groove.
5. Read the scale value corresponding to this position, which is the fineness of the sample.
Notice
Please read the instructions carefully before use.
• Ensure that the contact surface of the scraper and drawdown blade is clean and abrasion-free to ensure measurement accuracy.
• The scraping operation needs to be quick and consistent, and the reading should be done immediately after scraping.
• Keep the line of sight at an appropriate angle to the groove plane when reading.
• After use, clean the instrument with a suitable solvent and keep it properly.
• Avoid hitting or scratching the instrument to prevent damage to the measurement surface.
