Overview
PUSHEN XB-I 100um Mayer Rods is a laboratory bar that uses grooves formed by wrapping stainless steel wires on its surface to control wet film thickness. It can be prepared for 20 micron wet film thickness. The product is widely used in plastics, inks, Coatings, Paints, plastics and other industries, and the stainless steel material has a longer service life.
Features
1. Ideal for Spreader thin coatings, such as can Coatings and paper Coatings
2. Spreaders wet film thickness engraved at the end of XB bar
3. The most satisfactory effect for soft materials such as paper, Cardboard, foil, leather, test cardboard, Spinning & weaving products
4. Rod and winding are made of high-grade wear-resistant stainless steel
Principle
The laboratory bar is made of stainless steel wire wound on its surface to form grooves, which can be prepared with wet-film of different wet film thicknesses. Wire of different diameters is wrapped around a certain length of stainless steel steel rod, and the gap between the wires is used to prepare films of different thicknesses.
Applications
Plastic, inks, Coatings, Paints, Plastic, Canned Coatings, paper Coatings, paints, varnishes, inks, glues
Steps
1. Select according to the formula of wet film thickness = Coating Weight g/(density × Solid content%) per square meter
2. Spreader operation on the surface of the test material using Mayer Rods
Notice
• The wet film thickness calculation formula is for reference only. The actual wet film thickness is also affected by various factors such as product ductility, viscosity, coating rod type, etc
• Samples need to be uniform, comparable, and precise thickness control to ensure test Reliability
