Overview
JY-PHa contact angle tester is used to measure the contact angle between solid, liquid and gas three phases, and calculate the surface physical and chemical properties such as liquid adhesion to solid and solid surface energy by measuring contact angle. The instrument uses computer technology to transfer the ingested image to the computer for storage, analysis and printing. It has the characteristics of fast speed, accurate data and convenient operation. Degree of automation and high Measurement accuracy.

Principle
The instrument automatically recognizes Baseline and droplet contours through machine vision technology, and calculates the contact angle value by quadratic Linear dispersion fitting based on Laplace equation. Fully automatic testing is achieved for pictures with obvious Baseline characteristics, and the position of Baseline can be manually specified for pictures with not obvious Baseline characteristics. The test methods include static drop method and droplet method, which are used for the measurement of static contact angle and dynamic contact angle respectively.

Steps
1. Static drop method: drop liquid on the solid surface, take pictures after equilibrating the three-phase interface, and measure contact angle through software
2. Increase or decrease the droplet method: continuously increase the droplet to measure the forward angle or reduce the droplet to measure the backward angle
3. Video processing: small window preview, large window photo analysis, real-time video recording or single photo
4. Continuous regular photography: set the photography interval to automatically take photos
5. Document management: Save pictures and data, export test results to Excel
6, surface energy calculation: choose Fowkes equation, Owens equation or YGGF equation for calculation
