Overview
JY-PHb contact angle meter is used to measure the contact angle between solid, liquid and gas three phases, and calculate the surface physical and chemical properties such as liquid adhesion to solid and solid surface energy by measuring contact angle. The instrument uses computer technology to transfer the ingested image to the computer for storage, analysis and printing. It has the characteristics of fast speed, accurate data and convenient operation. Degree of automation is high and Measurement accuracy is high.

Principle
The instrument is based on the Laplace equation theory, uses quadratic Linear dispersion fitting to calculate the contact angle value, and automatically recognizes the Baseline and the droplet contour through machine vision technology, reducing the influence of gravity on the droplet shape and eliminating human test errors. For pictures with obvious Baseline characteristics, automatic testing can be realized. For pictures with obvious Baseline characteristics, the location of Baseline needs to be manually specified.

Steps
1. Static drop method: drop liquid on the solid surface, take pictures after equilibrating the three-phase interface, and measure contact angle through software
2. Increase or decrease the droplet method: continuously increase the droplet to measure the forward angle or decrease the droplet to measure the backward angle
3. Tilt plate method: the electric rotating stage forms a tilt angle, and the forward and backward angles of the droplets are measured
4. Video processing: Take pictures or videos through the preview window, and take pictures regularly to analyze dynamic changes
5. Data analysis: use automatic or manual methods to analyze contact angles, save results and export data

• For pictures with inconspicuous Baseline characteristics, you need to manually specify the Baseline location
• The luminance, contrast ratio, chroma and backlight luminance of the camera image need to be adjusted by software
