Overview
ASP550-L400 Mayer Rods is a mid-to-high-end coating applicator in China. It adopts a formed process and is made of wear-resistant stainless steel, which is easy to clean and has good corrosion resistance. The total length of the rod is 400mm, the effective application width is 300mm, and the hand-held part at both ends is 5cm each. No matching handle is required, and it can be directly hand-scraped. This series of Mayer Rods provides Moulding thickness rod numbers in the range of 180~ 600 microns, which are suitable for the experimental needs of Coating, inks, glue, Resin, New material, etc. that require preparation of thicker films.

Principle
Mayer Rods forms a uniform wet-film on the surface of the substrate through a formed process, and uses stainless steel rods to scrape liquid materials such as Coatings, inks, and glues within the application width range to prepare the film of the desired thickness.

Steps
1. Spreader substrate
2. Place materials such as Coatings, inks or Glue on one end of the substrate
3. Hold the 50mm part at both ends of the coating applicator
4. Scrape the material at a uniform speed
5. Form the desired thickness wet-film
