Overview
PUSHEN XB-60um Mayer Rods is a laboratory tool for preparing wet-film. It can control wet film thickness by winding stainless steel wire to form grooves, and can prepare 20 micron wet film thickness. The product is made of stainless steel and has a long service life. It is widely used in plastics, inks, Coating, Paints, plastics and other industries.
Features
1. Ideal for Spreader thin coatings, such as can Coatings and paper Coatings
2. wet film thickness engraved at the end for easy calculation
3. For soft materials such as paper, Cardboard, foil, leather, test cardboard, Spinning & weaving products, etc
4. Rod and winding are made of high-grade wear-resistant stainless steel
Principle
The laboratory bar uses stainless steel wires to wrap around its surface to form grooves, and prepares films of different thicknesses through the gaps between the wires. Wire of different diameters is wrapped around a certain length of stainless steel bars to control the wet film thickness.
Applications
Plastic, inks, Coatings, Paints, Plastic, Canned Coatings, paper Coatings, paints, varnishes, inks, glues
Steps
1. Select the appropriate type of coating rod according to needs
2. Use the formula: wet film thickness = Coating Weight g/(density × Solid content%) per square meter for selection calculation
3. Note that the actual wet film thickness is affected by factors such as product ductility, viscosity, coating rod type, etc
Notice
* The above selection formula is for reference only, the actual wet film thickness is also affected by various factors such as product ductility, viscosity, coating rod type and so on
* Samples need to be uniform and comparable, with precise thickness control to ensure Test Reliability
