Overview
The RDS 80G #3/8 "Gap Applicator rod is a Spreader tool designed for high viscosity fluids. It is made of stainless steel with a diameter of 9.52mm, a total length of 400mm, and an application width of 300mm. It is based on the gap wire-wound production process, which effectively reduces clogging and eliminates scratches. It is suitable for preparing uniform wet-film coatings.

Principle
Following the principle of Mayer Rod film, thick coatings can flow better by wrapping smaller wires at spacing to form wide and shallow cavities. Smaller wires produce smaller interruptions in the coating flow, allowing coatings to wetting more completely, especially for high viscosity fluids.
