Overview
The RDS 125G #3/8 "Gapped Applicator rod is a Spreader tool designed for high viscosity fluids, manufactured in stainless steel with a diameter of 9.52mm, a total length of 400mm, an application width of 300mm, and a wet film thickness of 285.8μm. It is suitable for laboratory and industrial Spreader applications.
Features
1. Adopt gap wire-wound production process to reduce high viscosity fluid blockage.
2. Smaller wire spacing design eliminates scratches and promotes coating flow.
3. Wide and shallow cavity structure, support thick coating uniform Spreader.
4. Stainless steel ensures durability and corrosion resistance.
5. Optimize the wire design to minimize flow interruption and enhance coating wettability.
Principle
The Applicator rod follows the principle of Mayer Rod film by wrapping smaller wires in spacing to create cavities that allow high viscosity fluids to flow smoothly. The wide, shallow cavity structure reduces clogging and scratches, while the smaller wire design minimizes coating flow interruptions, promoting complete wetting of the substrate for uniform thick coating preparation.
Applications
Laboratory Spreaders, Industrial Spreaders, High Viscosity Fluid films
Steps
1. Prepare Applicator rod and Spreader substrate.
2. Apply a high-viscosity fluid evenly to the surface of the substrate.
3. Applicator rod scraping fluid at a steady speed.
4. Check Coating thickness and uniformity, adjust operation if necessary.
Notice
• Applicator rod clean and free of residue before use.
• Avoid operating in extreme temperatures or Humidity environments.
• Spreader with uniform force to prevent uneven coating.
• Regularly check the wire abrasion and replace it in time.
• Only for fluids within the specified viscosity range.
