Overview
The RDS 145G #3/8 "Gap Applicator rod is a professional Spreader tool based on the Mayer Rod film principle. It is made of stainless steel, with a diameter of 9.52mm, a total length of 400mm, and an application width of 300mm. It is suitable for film preparation of high viscosity fluids.
Features
1. Adopt gap wire-wound production process to effectively reduce the blockage phenomenon of high viscosity fluid Spreader
2. Eliminate scratches through a smaller wire spacing winding design
3. The resulting cavity is wide and shallow, promoting better flow of thick coatings
4. Smaller wire design makes coating flow less interrupted for more complete wetting
5. The wet film thickness is precisely controlled at 331.5 μm
Principle
Following the Mayer Rod film principle, thick coatings can flow better by wrapping smaller wires at spacing to create wide, shallow cavities. Smaller wires create smaller interruptions in the coating flow, allowing coatings to wetting more completely, especially for higher viscosity fluid Spreaders.
Applications
High Viscosity Fluid Spreader, Thick coating prepative, Laboratory film, Industrial Spreader
Steps
1. Prepare high viscosity fluid samples for Spreader
2. Applicator rod placed on the substrate surface
3. Apply pressure evenly and pull Applicator rod smoothly
4. Check coating mass after finishing Spreader
5. Clean Applicator rod for next use
Notice
• Applicator rod clean and drying before use
• Maintain uniform force and speed during Spreader
• Avoid contact with the Applicator rod surface with sharp objects
• Clean in time after use to prevent residue blockage
• Avoid collision and extrusion when storing
