Overview
RDS 150G #3/8 "Gapped Applicator rod is a Spreader tool designed for high viscosity fluids, made of stainless steel, 9.52mm diameter, 400mm total length, application width 300mm, wet film thickness 342.9μm.

Principle
Following the principle of Mayer Rod film, a wide shallow cavity is formed by wrapping smaller wires at spacing, allowing high viscosity fluids to flow better when the coating is thick. Smaller wires create smaller interruptions in the coating flow, thus promoting the coating to completely wetting the surface.

Steps
1. Prepare high viscosity fluid samples
2. Applicator rod placed on the substrate surface
3. Apply pressure evenly and pull Applicator rod smoothly
4. Clean Applicator rod after Spreader
